At what age do horses stop growing?

I am not sure how big my boy is as I've never measured him. I will do when I get round to it. He is the perfect size for me at the moment but someone just told me that he might not have finished growing. He was 6 at the end of May. Any advice welcome!

Depends entirely on the breed.

He's a Dutch Warmblood (not a popular breed on this forum I know but I love him)!

He has most likely finished now. Our homebreds take until 6 to finish up, as they don't get lots of hard feed as youngsters.

Oh, thank you. That is what I wanted to hear. I have sacro-iliac problems and I can just about manage to get on him now but, if he grows much more I will struggle and my physio will tell me to get a smaller horse like he has before. Not that I would ever listen of course.
