Did you get your puppy? (As in what age was the pup, not you!) As I'm seeing increasing numbers of people taking puppies at younger and younger ages. I always thought 8 weeks was about the earliest you should take a pup?

Any litters we've bred were 8 weeks before they were allowed to leave.

And those who breed, what age do you let pups go at?

Tink- 6 months, when we came back to the country lol

Dougal- 6 weeks

ETA: we let people take tinks pus from 9 weeks

All family dogs except one were at least 8 weeks, most nearer 10(our choice).
Only one that wasnt is DOugal, the evil yorkie-he was nearly 6 weeks, litter mates had all gone and breeder wouldnt stop calling to ask when we were collecting him

15 weeks, but she was being assessed as a show prospect; the breeder usually lets them go at 10 weeks.

I really think those extra few weeks with her mother taught Stella a lot about good dog manners.

I forgot to say we got Cindy at 10 weeks, Tina at 8 weeks, can't remember what age Windsor was and Beastie was 7.5 weeks.

When we has litters, we didn't let them go before 8 weeks and held on to them longer if new owner required us to. Also took one back at 6 months for training as the owner was having trouble with it. Went back home after a month or so

Quail was 9 weeks no actually she was 10 her sister was 9 weeks but then found a toe missing so traded her for her sister!
Snipe was 7 weeks when I got her 7 years ago.

Is Quail the little fine one that you own? I always wondered what she was called. Loving the name. Don't believe I've ever seen pictures of Snipe.
