At what point do you step in? Advice needed please!

Hi Amymay, well, still haven't seen the mother-in-law, but horse was turned out in the field all day yesterday and when I got to the yard last night was in with hay so looks like she is looking after him. I actually gave him some hay this morning before I left though just in case no one got there very early! I will definitely be speaking to the owner when she gets back from holiday, and I will keep you posted! Thanks for your advice.
