At what temperature do you start rugging?

hellloooooo all! Am back form my long weekend in spain, so dont know what the weather has been like here (lovely over there!) Any ways up! I ve looked at the report for tonight and its going down to 8 degrees, my boy is still living out - at what temperature do you all start rugging at night?

At about -5C last year here.

Just popped out and put lightweight on Fly tonight as it will be about 8 degrees here too. He has been rugged most of the summer because it was so lousy and in fact its only been the last couple of weeks hes been naked. He will be rugged most nights now I expect as I don't want him to develop a shaggy coat as he will be in work all winter and if I can get away without clipping him that will be better for him.

i rug if the girls are wanting to come in or if their ears feel cold.(ie when they feel cold)

After a lot of 'should i, souldnt i?' Ive been back up at tea time a put a rug on - i shall go up at 8 in the morning to take it off - if he is sweating buckets i will have my answer! Ive always had big fat girls before so its a bit of a new experience in havig a slim boy, i have to change my way of thinking and now instead of worrying about keeping weight off, i now can worry about keeping it on!!! Deep joy!!! x

when they feel cold usually about 5 degrees, maybe a little warmer if it's raining

I have always done 10 degrees - but then I have a TB who feels any cold at all - it seems to have worked well for her. Wouldn't rug a native though - unless clipped...
