Athens Abercadabera

Thumbs up from me. Being picky there is something about his limbs I'm not mega keen on but I can't put my finger on it.

Are you thinking of using him?

I dont like his hindleg but thats an Abergwiffy trait.
Just thinking for the future- would be cool to have a MoonxBoss, insane but cool!!!

Hehe...I can imagine that, would be slightly wild! Is Boss by Abergwiffy then? I didn't know that.

He is indeed- apparently Abergwify has a reputation for passing on the loony gene!

His record on BE is a little different to what they suggest. Entered for 3 PN events in 2003 ridden by gary parsonage and did one, retiring on the Xc. Ridden by R Telford the year before at Intro, shows he was 15th once out of 3 starts. No BSJA or BD results.

He did manage a 2nd place in a bumper first time out after 4 horses in the race were disqualified for going the wrong way. 14th next time out and PU on his final start.

The advert doesn't even spell his name correctly. Sorry I know this stud as it is very close to us and it just bugs the hell out of me when SOs cant get their facts right when it is easy to look up a horse's career these days. Doesn't look too bad a stamp after all that but I prefer Devil's Jump as a son of Abergwify, especially as his stock are proven.

Yes, DJs stock seem to be going well. I dont like how he's put together though, I wouldnt use him on mine.
All the DJs I know are loonytoons

Attractive head, but IMO ties into the neck a little thickly. Great length of rein and he has a fabulous body. I do not like his lack of bone, there is nothing to carry his body IMO. He looks a little down in his front pasterns in that pic. Poor hind leg too, but that has been mentioned.

Me neither. Yet I've seen nice foals by him.

Same here! When we took H to the BEF Futurity at The Grange last year, I was offered £100 off his stud fee for B! He is out of the same mare as Kings Composer, so would have been interesting. However, I don't want to mix Abergwiffy and Atlantus.........

ETS plus he's chestnut (a nice chestnut though) and I don't want to breed a chestnut filly and not be able to sell it......
