Well me and another girl on my yard went it was a nice day out and everyone seemed really friendly. There was alot of standing around and everything seemed quite slow tbh so not sure if i would do it again. My pony has never been on a hunt she was rediculously (sp) well behaved and just totally switched off and wasn't bothered about anything until the end of the hunt, i think because we kept moving, she seemed to finally pick up and want to go forward, typical lol :confused:

just wondering if anyone else went and if they know what happened to the rider that came off as i saw the helecopter coming down and the para's driving up, im guessing it was quite serious as i think both horses came back to the kennels minus the riders.
 

QR - I think I may have seen you hacking home - was the other girl on a chestnut? I was in the queue waiting to go through the traffic lights on Mancetter Road and saw you (if it was you!) trotting through them.....nice ponio! :)
 
haha yep that was us they turned red as soon as se went through typical lmao I hate that road i always feel like im creating a masive line of traffic but it was the quickest route home lol aw thankyou :grin: that was the most active she had been all day :p
 
don't be put off! a newcomers days is meant to include everyone who turns out, and some of them may not be the best riders and the hunt kind of feels obliged to look after them a bit given they invited them!

Also, this time of year hunts are still autumn hunting which is steadier and involves quite a lot of stopping and starting. See if you can go on a day in the main season, then make up your mind!
 
Glad you had a good time! You should come out when we are hunting proper, its quicker, less standind and more jumps! If you ring Iris she will tell you the best days to go on.
 
I can remember seeing your horse with the pink piping on its bridle :)

Thanks for letting me know i didn't see it happen i was just hoping that it wasn't anything like her spine or neck, it was just really unfortuate that it was at the end. I hope she heals quickly!
