so i called Thanet Showjumps to know if they shipped to where i am.
and then a lady picked up the phone, rudely asked me to hold,
and then asked so what do you want?

so i said "do you ship the uni polyjump to france?"

"oh we dont sell them anymore"

and before i could say thanks and goodbye, SHE HUNG UP ON ME!!

damn it, I just rung and asked them about plastic jumps so they could be rude to me and then I could give them whatfor, but they were as polite as pie on the phone!

You can phone Dever Saddlery for me if you'd like. I was in a riding lesson last week when my stirrup leather broke, all the stitching had just torn completely. I e-mailed and asked if they would exchange them and they said to send them to them and they would examine them.

Today I got an e-mail from the online shop that I bought them from to say that this was the first they'd heard of it but Dever had asked them to e-mail to say that they wouldn't exchange them as they hadn't been well cared for and (because I had said "had I been jumping, this could have been very dangerous" in my e-mail) they said the leathers are dressage leathers and not designed for jumping.

These are less than a year old and have been very well cared for - the other non-broken one is like new and they haven't been jumped in because my horse has foot problems and isn't allowed to jump I just put that in to emphasise how dangerous it could have been. Maybe that was a mistake with hindsight.

I emailed them back to ask what evidence they had of them not being looked after and to say that I thought them getting the shop to e-mail me was passing the buck as I had already e-mailed them 4 times about them and they never mentioned the shop being involved before. Neither do they state the leathers are not suitable for jumping in (again, not that I have, just wanted to point that out!) They haven't got back to me despite e-mailing back straight away every other time.

I suppose it would be reasonable to give them a bit longer but I'm really angry, they weren't cheap and I've never had another stirrup leather break on me in 25 years - and I've probably looked after these better than any others as they were so expensive!
