Well she wasn’t wildly keen on cooperating and spend most of the time trying to eat husbands hair.

She’s 80.2% arab and turned 3 at the end of March. She’s 14.3hh and I’m hoping, but not expecting, that she’ll grow.

This was the most sensible one I could get 😂 opinions welcome. FYI ground is ever so slightly sloped- higher at the front end.

(For those of you who saw my thread about her weight, I’ve managed to negotiate them being in during the day and out at night and on a smaller field with less grass- and I think I’ve found an interim solution locally while I wait for our new yard to be ready, if it comes to that)
 
She is a very pretty girl and I know just the type you wanted!
If I were going to be critical I’d say a little upright in shoulder and a little long in the pastern, but nothing that should be an issue for what you have purchased her for.

You might have fun saddle fitting! She has a forward girth groove but quite a short back!

I’m thinking a pillow and some duct tape.
 
Shes very pretty but thats a big tummy! There is no chance of her being in foal? Has she been wormed recently?
It may just be a grass belly but she doesnt look over weight else where.

I would think it very unlikely that she’s in foal. She came from a private home where she was kept with another mare, in a very well-fenced and well-maintained environment. It did cross my mind when she suddenly inflated like that!

She was wormed (equest) a month before she came to us, and she’s been here for just over two weeks.

I suspect it’s mainly gas but I’ll take some photos tonight when she’s spent the day in the stable and been out for a walk.

Exactly what I would have written.
 
I imagine she will be uncomfortable to ride, with that shoulder, and the pasterns are very long (can they grow into their pasterns!?).
She is a gorgeous colour! :-)

Yes, I think she might be quite choppy although I have seen her demonstrate quite a lope-y canter in the field which might make up for the trot 😂

Long pasterns make for a really comfortable ride! I would imagine they will offset the angle of the shoulder a little bit and even it out.
 
She is really lovely:) saddle fit is not always easy with Arabs they tend to be quite wide and then just get wider and wider, I went through numerous saddles over the years and both mine wear an x wide hopefully they won't get any wider now:oops:

Yes, width is on the cards. She definitely errs towards having a bit of a matronly figure but on the plus side hopefully that will help take up my leg a bit.

I do keep telling my husband that I’ve just bought my future companion horse 😂
 
She is lovely just my sort I would guess she will lengthen a little and will lose flab to replace it with muscle as she starts her journey to being a ridden horse. She has blubbery bits that will go which should help a little with saddle fit. I do really like her

Her tummy has deflated a lot on the stable pic. :) . A friend has arabs and has been said they all seem to have XXXW saddles that would put a cob to shame.
 
I know nothing about conformation but what a beautiful pony! I have a weakness for Arabs! I'm hoping my next one will be an Arab as I miss having one in the herd :)

Your girl is built like mine too. Short and wide!!. I went for treeless as all the saddle fitters were mysteriously busy for years!
Your girl has a good wither too which will add to your hair pulling!
She is going to make the 15h, i'm sure of it , a bit more possibly . I would LOVE to ride her,she's just my sort , there will be a lot of power there when she matures,she has a beautiful eye too . I'd be interesting to know her Arab blood
