Attempted horse theft Cambridge

I discovered today that someone had cut a huge hole in the fence in my field, it was cut from top to bottom just leaving a strand at the top.
The field runs alongside a main road, it is obvious that the plan was to return at some point peel back the remainder and take the horses.

Luckily I only use this field for winter grazing so my horses are back on the yard.
As a mare was stolen last week from a field not far away I am posting this here.

5 miles North of cambs off the A14 near Bar Hill

Omigod, so relieved you found this before something terrible happened. It is so scarey who is out there nosying around at our much loved horses isn't it?

Yes has been reported to the police who were very helpful, I have also informed the local RC and local yards.

That was the next village to me (Longstanton), I think i no where you are! it's very open there, (or is that Willingham!) next to that road.. Pedilia.

Hang a sign on the fence saying "I'm watching you and the police have been alerted" for when the barstewards return.

lucky you spotted the attempt. I read about it thro the Over RC. I worry about mine as i have found several pikeys looking over my pony in his field.
