I have posted in the new lounge but thought I would just pop a note on here and ask people to be aware there were men found in my field trying to take a couple of my ponies and wanted to warn locals to me.

My ponies are all freezemarked and chipped but that didn't seem to phase these people so just be vigilant. x

I've copied the other post

Jackie always does Shandy in the early hours due to her work starting early. Today she was there around 4 am. Before she did Shandy she turned her car around outside the girls field and a man was trying to hold Willow round the neck, she jumped out the car and yelled as she yelled another 3 come from by the tack room and stood as if ready to have a confrontatioon. Thankfully Jackie is sensible and she got in the car Called the police and sat their for half an hour honking her horn. They ran off to the bridle path at the bottom of the farm and disappeared.

The police came and informed Jackie there are gypsies nearby and we need to be vigilante!!!!

I am still reeling, Jackie rang me and told me everything was ok but I felt so ill I was up the yard straigh away and moved all the ponies back to mine along with Sparkey. I couldn't rest until they were back home. Joanne is on holiday so Sparkey will stay with me till she comes home and hopefully by then the gypsies will have been moved on.

We have emptied the tackrooms and took all the headcollars home tomake it harder, the police think they were trying to break in and find headcollars to take the ponies in and the man who had Willlow was keeping hold of him.

So if you are in the shustoke/Packington/Coleshill/Warwickshire area please take care and look out for anything dodgy. We were lucky because there are people up and down the farm all night and day, it could have been a far worse post this evening.

ps sorry about the horrendous spelling I am absolutely shattered after spending all day at yard...

Thanks I did go off and read the other post, it is always such a worry when you don't live by your horses. Now if I was a gypsy I would just be able to live on my land!

Last week at Brinklow someone let horses out of their field, and the tack room was opened. Nothing was taken, as no tack is left there. Luckily the horses didn't get onto the road. This happened just as it was getting dark. I don't know if this was reported to the police.
