bless you :( worst nightmare to find that.

We had a major theft on our yard a few weeks back, then suspicious undoing of the front straps of some horses rugs(to look for freezemarks we think).
then a strange man lurking around the footpath near the yard :(

I could not sleep that night and ended up being up from 2am and driving by the yard at 3am.

I was so worried going to the yard the next morning .

So glad something happened to send them away and your little shettie is safe :)

Could I remind you of the importance of Freezemarking horses on their shoulders as anyone can see a Freezemark and identify a horse by it. Also ensure that you keep photos of your horse (from front, rear and both sides) in a safe place so that in the event of theft or straying these can be distributed to Horsewatch and the police.

Well done on Freezemarking your horses. I am afraid that I have had alot of reports of Shetlands being stolen this year. Many appear to have been moved in transit type vans vans. This is because many police forces have a policy of stopping any horse boxes or horse trailers between the hours or midnight and 4.00 a.m. in an attempt to deter horse thieves.
