Just seen a link on FB about recent attempts to steal trailers from the main car park in Delemere Forest. Apparently some men in a couple of vans were spotted checking the car park out and at one point, they parked their vans either side of a trailer and were attempting to unhitch it. Only stopped by a vigilant coach driver.

As the poster on FB said, please lock your trailer onto your tow hitch when you leave it and also put your wheel lock on – make sure its on the back wheel of the trailer and not the front axel wheel.
Also, don’t leave anything on view in your car and lock head collars, travelling boots etc into the boot of your car too.
Keep your eye on other peoples lorries / trailers if you can and report anything suspicious to the police and also let Delemere Forest office know.

These thieving scum bags are quick and ruthless, so don’t make their lives easy by leaving things unlocked.

I saw that, too. Maybe park on the inner car park, where the other trailers do. I shan't be using the remote ones again. Hitch and wheel locks are NO deterrent. They can get them off in seconds.
