Just seen a link on FB about recent attempts to steal trailers from the main car park in Delemere Forest. Apparently some men in a couple of vans were spotted checking the car park out and at one point, they parked their vans either side of a trailer and were attempting to unhitch it. Only stopped by a vigilant coach driver.
As the poster on FB said, please lock your trailer onto your tow hitch when you leave it and also put your wheel lock on make sure its on the back wheel of the trailer and not the front axel wheel.
Also, dont leave anything on view in your car and lock head collars, travelling boots etc into the boot of your car too.
Keep your eye on other peoples lorries / trailers if you can and report anything suspicious to the police and also let Delemere Forest office know.
These thieving scum bags are quick and ruthless, so dont make their lives easy by leaving things unlocked.
