The Fuzzy Furry
Old Timer
Hi all, forgive me my virgin starter thread into AAD section :redface3:
Have got a little Shih Tzu speyed bitch (as the morning thread gang already know) after a 12 yr absence from having a dog or 4...
Been with me since last Thurs so very very early days. Came as result of abandonment/neglect case.
Anyways, sweet tempered little soul, eats v well etc from bowl (building slowly as painfully thin), but will not, absolutely not, take anything by hand (yet). Not at all food focussed.
Walks neatly on lead most of the time tho not to heel (yet)
Only thing she gets really bat-shyte excited about is a squeaky toy, but is far too over the top with one to use one for training at present.
Ideas to get her attention please?
Would like to slowly intro training (used to work obedience yrs ago) but haven't had one so 'absent' from me before, even with the sight hounds and jacks I had previously.
I DO appreciate it is very early for her in the settling in period tho
