Do you have a horse/horses that crib-bites or wind-sucks? I am a final-year undergraduate student at the University of Portsmouth (working with Dr Matt Parker [www.brainandbehaviourlab.com]) looking into the effect of nutritional supplements on health outcomes associated with stereotypic behaviours such as crib-biting. I am looking for participants who would be willing to allow their horses to take part. Taking part will involve giving your horse some nutritional supplements (or a placebo) for a month, and completing questionnaires regarding their health/behaviour. The supplements will be provided free of charge for the duration of the study (by Science supplements [http://www.sciencesupplements.co.uk]).
If you are interested in taking part, please complete the brief quesitonnaire via the below and I will be in touch with further information. Feel free to message if you have any questions also (lucy.crawford@myport.ac.uk). Thank you!
