Yep, I do. Mixing it with shavings at the moment as only recently changed over, but I really like it. It compacts down nicely, but works best when slightly damp IMO. Only need a bale in once every 7/10 days.

I use it on rubber mats - it's my favourite bedding. Absorbent, easy to handle and rots down nicely on the muck heap

I must say I didn't actually bother doing that

! I think it is probably just to help the bed hold together when you first put it down.

Have used this for years. Just sprinkle water over it to start it of, it stops it moving around so much in the begining. I use it in two different ways.
For my welshie, I lift all of it every day (I know you're not meant to) this way whats damp dries out really well and it reduces how much you have to put in - he gets half a bag every 10 days or so.
For my dirty dirty mare, I deep litter it. Her bed is now approx 7 inches deep - it begins to look like peat. I lift the poos out every day and rake it over. However I have found since shes really really wet, it does tend to get squelchy (urgh) (she drinks half a dustbin a night!) so I dig out those sections use the banks to fill them and then redo banks with new bedding.
Its intresting to hear that some of you use shavings aswell, as I was thinking of starting to mix in shavings and its proving quite expensive for the mare she has 1 1/2 bags a week.

I used it for years in the UK - it is excellent stuff in my opinion. Much cheaper in the long run than shavings. I wish I could get it over here!

I am using it now and have to say i love it. It's really easy to muck out and smells cleaner than other bedding i think. If you don't like it you can always give it to me, LOL

I love the stuff for ease of use, expensive to start a bed off though.

My pony has been on/off box rest for three months now, used Aubiose to start with, though had to stop as it is rather abrasive and was starting to make the bulbs of her heels sore and had worn away alot of her hair on her heels.

I've changed over to a shavings/ chopped straw mix and this has now resolved.
