(mind I could have been using it wrong)

I have been using it since November last year, and wouldn't change
I semi deep litter my boy, and find it is really easy to muck out.
It it very absorbant, and easy to keep the bed clean.
I use a bale a week. My lad is 18hh so quite wet, i think i would struggle on 1 bale of shavings a week.
Also bed seems to stay fresh, no p*ssy smell which is good

Old YO did, she reckonned it was tidier?! But maybe she meant she used fewer bales and therefore didn't have to use so much storage space. Not used it myself I'm afraid!

Have had ours on it for 4 years now.
Easy to work with, no smell even with our mare who pees for England.
Don't use it as recommended though, we throw the bed up every morning rather than leave it down otherwise hers gets too wet.
I'd shop around for the best price, as always, buying in bulk is best.

we had the whole yard on it for a good while when i worked for Leslie Law. i didn't like it, and wouldn't go back to it, but that's probably because i really hate the idea of deep-litter or semi-deep-litter. i like stable beds kept as dry and clean as possible, not stinky stables, stinky feet, thrush, lung problems, ewww.
i use Ecobed cardboard bedding on rubber matting, and it's about the same price and usage as shavings, but doesn't break down and go dusty. i wouldn't change to anything else, even if it was free!

My whole yard back in England was on Aubiose and rubber matting - I loved it. Very easy to muck out, no smells and possibly saved me money in the long run.

My friend used to use it and it was fine - really easy to muck out. A couple of years ago I got a months free trial but didn't find it worked for my horse at all. I think it is ok if you have a reasonably clean horse but my boy is really messy and tramples everything through his bed. I found I had just as much mucking out and it would've ended up being more expensive.

I used it a few years ago.

It was okay as a deep litter bed but I prefer to muck out every day and found that it didn't soak up the wet that well on rubber.

Like most bedding products, when you open a bale it is not dustry, but it does break down and become a bit dusty when it get older.

Also, some horses will eat it. We tried it on our mare and she went in the stable and didn't stop eating it! We had bought 150 bales at a special discounted price, so it toook me a couple of years to use it up on the other horse!

Ive recently changed all of mine on to Aubiose and I am very impressed

. Its dustless, warm, very absorbent, odour free, unedible(so far!) easy to muck out (I chuck everything up too!) works out cheaper and makes for a tiny muckheap as there is very little that gets chucked away

. My boxes are 4 by 3 1/2 and I used 4 bales to start the bed and now Im one each per week which is a huge saving for me. A bale costs me 6 euros compared to 7 for shavings! Mairi.

PS, It doesnt stick to tails, bandages, rugs and doesnt pack into their feet like shavings and co does!
