I see there is a BE statement re an inspection on Friday, fingers and hooves crossed that the rain doesn't hit them. Such a shame for the organisers all the work. Off to do a sun dance!

Sadly I'm not surprised, really feel for Ally Boswell and her team - they must wonder why they keep going given the cancellations on different dates over the last few years. I also remember the PC areas a few years back at Auchinleck when they had to delay the xc start for the water level to drop at the first water.

I'm regretting not having gone to Burgie last weekend instead but Auchinleck is so much closer and diesel isn't cheap :(

It's so sad for everyone involved for auchinleck, ironically this would be scone date and the ground would be perfect for an event, just a shame it's no longer viable. It seems Burgie had good weather which was good for them.

Burgie seems blessed, don't remember having bad ground there but according to the news last night they're desperate for rain in Moray and the ground is so dry the sandy soil is get blown away and had to be cleared off roads by snow ploughs http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-22266000

A friend who liveries at Burgie sent me a picture of the sand dunes on the road, she was wishing for rain. I said you can have rain as long as auchinleck gets sunshine.
