This is a recently deceased ISH stallion, I have a 6 year old gelding by him and came across an old message here from someone wanting to know more about him. I would be interested to hear from anyone with one of his offspring.
Hi, I have a mare by him. She's 8, skewbald 15.2. Fantastic temperament, not a nasty bone in her body. Not spooky, quick learner and very forward. And a fab jumper. Did 1.15 courses under a girl I bought her from last year. An absolute dream of a horse.
Hi, nice to hear from you, he also has a fantastic temperament and a very good attitude to everything asked of him. He is 17.1hh and was 16.3hh when I bought his 18 months ago he was very immature and has filled and developed well. I have done lots of flat work with him and he always scores good marks in his dressage tests. The little jumping we have done looks promising, but due to his size and immaturity we have not done a lot. I am in Kent and have actually traced his breeder back to Ireland do you know where your mare was bred ? Be good to hear of her progress.
Hi Mandy, 17.1 at 6yrs... He will probably still grow a bit! All the best in your training. I am sure all the hard work will pay off. What's his name? My mare was bread in Maidenhall in Ireland. Her name's Maidenhall Red Robin. She's so brilliant that she gave me a bit too much confidence in jumping (cockiness??) and I had a fractured ankle only a week after I bought her and then dislocated knee 6 months after... I thought I was Zara Phillips. Turns out I am not!
Hi I have told him if he grows anymore he will have to learn to bend down when I rug him. His name is Skewbald Rathbawn Lad bred in Enniscorthy Co. Wexford. I am glad I am not the only one who has mishaps, what county are you in and do you have any idea how he got there?
I'm in Derbyshire. Bought Robin in Cheshire in Dec last year. I think she got there as a filly and was mainly hunted. Later did sj and proved to be talented. While recovering from my last injury we did some unaffiliated dressage and did surprisingly well. Although she will always remain a jumper Keep in touch
