OK, I admit I don't know that much about what is going on down there, but do they still have that outbreak??

I ask as my instructor is about to go on a month long visit, and although he wont be near any horses (i think) I was a bit worried about him coming up to yard after his trip.

Am I right to be worried or am I being OTT? It is the Perth area he is going to I believe.

If your horses have the jab against flu then you shouldn't need to be worried

they ran the Melbourne Cup OK and are trying to contain it to one area.

It is confined to parts of NewsouthWales and vaccination is now taking place.

My friend lives in Melbourne and they are riding OK. She came to visit me and rode with me and then went back to OZ during sept. - before they had any vaccine.

However it is a bit paranoid over there atm as the yard she rides at near Melbourne weren't even allowing the farrier onto the property - if the horses lost shoes then they went without
