Hi everyone,

I have the following little zoo:
4 horses - 11yo WB, 11yo Australian Stockhorse, 15yo Welsh D X Friesian, 1yo clumpenstein gelding (several heavy breeds sewn together to form a monster! ;))
3 dogs - GSD, GSD X dingo, maltese X shitzu
2 cats - one clever mouser and one giant lazy housecat
35 chickens and one rooster, all Australorps

I have joined the forum to get some wider ranging advice than can be found on the couple of very quiet Australian horse forums out there. :)

Hi AC , i love the sound of your zoo and i hope you enjoy the forum :)
I think it's probably after 4am with you now, you'll have to post first thing in the mornings!
I have an Arab that came over from Australia and i ride our other horse in an Aussie stock saddle, i love it!
Which bit are you in? , i have friends and family in Australia. x

Yes the time difference is difficult!
Wow you imported a horse from Australia! Normally it's the other way around, we import them from Europe!
I ride all of mine in just plain old curved mouth snaffles and I ride in all sorts of saddles depending on what I'm doing (dressage, jumping etc). Out on the trails I use a swinging fender saddle which is kind of like a western saddle but very close contact to the horse and seats you in a dressage position.
