Hi been looking at this field for a while..but has always had horses on it! These horses have now been moved closer to the owners home!

So it is now vaccant :D

It is a max of 2 acres has running water and a large old barn! The field is very good quality grass as it is rolled/harrowed etc...No weeds and has had sheep on it recently...we are going to go see the farmer whos field it is some time this week..to ask about putting two of mY Boys on it..How much do you think
he would want per month? £50??

Thank you

I have a 2 acre winter field for my boys for which I pay £15 per week plus water which is in my name. I also maintain it. Maintenance is relatively cheap as it abuts my land and I have a tractor, harrow etc.

If you get it for £50 a month, then grab it!

I really want it! I would be able to see them from my bedroom window!! :D i was thinking around that price range i mean i would probly pay a max of £70 per month :D

I have been practising my sad face :'( to try the sympathy vote - if that fails i will be bringing out my secret weapon ..... a picture of my fluffy pony!! :D

In my day dreams he gives me the field for free because my horses are so cute! :)

Mine is about 35 a month for almost two acres and automatic water, reasonable natural shelter and a shed in another section I use for hay etc, I think 50 sounds reasonable since it has a large barn as well and obviously a damn sight cheaper than livery :-)

What I would add is if it's that close don't miss out on it by not comparing it objectively to the alternatives so if grass livery would cost you x per month don't forget to double it (2 horses) then compare to the field etc... Seems obvious I know but also take in to account time saved and petrol costs etc.

I don't think I would want to drive to my animals so with that alone in mind would still pay up if the rent was double (hope the landlord isn't reading this!)

I know i can only really afford £70 per month as im still keeping the other fields i have which are £180 for 4 acres but they are sodden from all this rain!! so two boys have to go!! this field would be perfect as we wouldnt need to go to seperate places as we have done in the past soo i really want it!!!!

I have my sad face ready!! i think its pretty good! ;D
