My mare is getting little bites in between her legs near by her udders. I’ve read that Avon So Soft works but I’d like to hear other people’s opinions as to whether it’ll work before I try it.

Anyone got any advice? Thanks. 😀

I think it's effective against midges, at least that's what I've found. But I prefer something like naf D-itch for places like udders and ears, keeps the little burrowing black flies away and seems quite soothing.

Seems to work for midges but I use Neem oil spray or nettex cream for those horrible black flies that swarm around them

I think it works for midges, but I also apply fly spray for the other flies.

Works well for midges on humans too - thankfully as I'm a midge magnet :(

That’s good to know, I was thinking about applying it specifically to the udder area and fly spraying the rest of as usual. She has little bloody bites there and I wanted to help prevent it.

I wouldn't use it on sensitive bits- it is oil base and can burn in the sun. Mine gets bites on his sheath and I just use a thick covering of sudocrem. A lot of fly creams and sprays say not to apply near face/sensitive areas.
