Stupid owner though! I've heard about this happening a lot in places like the lakes, peak district, etc. Owners who have very unfit (usually overweight and older) dogs who are used to just a thirty minute sedate walk around the street or in their local park once or twice a day, being taken on holidays and suddenly being expected to be able to do half a days walking up hills and through rough terain.
