I don't know if it's good news or not!!
Axel was x rayed and definately does NOT have Kidding Spines, thank god
Nothing else showed up on the x rays at all.
He was then scanned and the actual bit where he has the most pain is right where the fascial edge is on the muscles in the lumbar region. Vet thinks he has ripped the muscle off of the fascia. This is causing him extreme pain and sciatica.
He had 4 injections of local anesthetic and steroids into this area and now I have to turn him out as much as possible, not ride and Vet is coming on tuesday morning to re-evaluate.
He did look less tucked up and was a lot happier in himself.
Will have to see what he's like then and decide what to do next.
