Hi All
Small possibility that OH and I might be relocating to this area....we are cuurently the other side of Wycombe in the Beaconsfield area.
If (and is by no means definate) we did, I would need to move the horses, which is a bit sad as we are so happy where we are.
Would ideally want a smallish yard that does DIY and Grass, have two geldings for DIY and a mare on grass although depending on price/space she can be stabled if needs be. Absolute must haves are floodlit school altho doesn't need to be huge, decent hacking (altho don't mind some roadwork) good security, and lorry parking. Nice to haves would flexibility ideally to turn out 24/7 in summer, no rules like as soon as it rains everything stays in 24/7, ideally that I can turn out before work (say 7am) and fetch in after (sometimes as late as 7pm) altho again depending on price might be interested in some assisted services etc... and has to have friendly people. Oh and ideally dogs allowed on leads!
Also if yard were more expensive, might just take the two boys there in which case would be looking for somewhere on grass livery/retirement livery for the old girl....!
Anyone got any suggestions I can google or even go have a nosey/call? Horses being happy is essential so would look at yards before committing to move!
Thanks

I used to teach at this place, http://www.hideawayfarm.co.uk/ it has changed ownership since I was last there so I have no idea what it is like now. Nice yard, good stables and grazing, two arenas, one of which is huge. Very good outriding, the nearest bridleway is right outside the gate. There used to be a round pen there too.

Link to Chiltern Rider- always a good source of info

hi, I would be wary of Tudor Stud I'm sure it has changed hands now but the facilities/hacking wasn't great. I have a friend with a horse in retirement livery at Widmer and seems happy her other horse is at Africks very good there but i think they have a waiting list and it is a way from aylesbury.

Great thanks all - didn't realise Widmer did retirement will look that one up for the old girl for sure! Africks looks very nice maybe a bit too far in an ideal world but def worth a call.

The only place I can think of that hasn't already been listed above is on the other side of Aylesbury - Kingsland Farm at Drayton Parslow. Although I've been there once, I don't know too much about it - but I do know there's at least 1 sand school and there are acres and acres of on-farm hacking which is very nice.

However, just wondering where you are at the moment if you're near Beaconsfield? I don't recognise your horses' names - but I'm wondering if we may have met - or be friends of friends, as you are so very local to me?

My horses are at on the Forty Green side of Beaconsfield by the way.

We are in Flackwell heath! My user name is my maiden name (been married 3 years!) should get round to changing that sometime....
Older horse's showname is Mister J, might have seen you out and about, we do a bit of everything really, mostly RC level bt toy with BD and BE!
