Hi, I'm looking to take my boy out cross country in the next year for his first time. Aylesford is around 30 minutes from me but my boy only started jumping properly last year, so I'm wondering if they will have some lower jumps just for him to try. Also do they have alternative routes, I know they have a big water combination and he doesn't like water! Thank you!

Depends how little you want... They don't have much on the main XC that's smaller than 70-80, but they have a small field with lower fences in.

Field Farm XC is not far from Aylesford, and it has lots of small jumps and a very small water complex which may be better to avoid upsetting your horse too much on the first trip.

Enjoy!

Aylesford has plenty of small jumps , I regularly take my youngsters and it is an open area where you can choose what you jump, or go around. The water combination is just placed in the middle of a field and is easily avoided. Great course and you can take your time :)

Aylesford is brilliant! Lots of big and small options and fantastic big water complex! They also have a field now with mini jumps in too which you can hire which might be suitable for your first time. :)
