B+E training courses

if you have access to a trailer, horse or otherwise, try at home practising first, towing and reversing. You will be legal as long as you have L plates and have a driver with you who has these entitlements(oh and an unladen trailer!!!). It's around £110 for the trailer test but companies are charging up tp £500 for a weeks training with your test at the end

See how you get on first playing at home or see if a friend who tows can take you out

I have a trailer but not much access for anyone taking me out. Its not so much the actual driving, the reversing

ahhhh, unless you happen to live in the Tyne and Wear area can't help! My other half is the best trailer reverser on the planet! He can reverse a tractor, forage harvester and a trailer round a corner! FAB! I'm so jealous!!

Mind you he has his hands busy at the mo teaching me, I'm fine reversing straight but struggling with corners at the mo

The secret is to use your mirrors all the time, it works!

I passed my trailer test about a month ago with 3 minors (how i managed that i really dont know! lol) I did mine through Alan Moffat Training and I would recommend him to anyone

Reversing is quite simple really......

Turn little and follow the trailer....

basically if the trailer goes towards the right and you want to reverse in a straight line, turn the steering wheel a little bit towards the right and this should bring the trailer back in a straight line and straighten your wheel,,, 9 times out of 10, trailer will then go towards the left and just follow the trailer again by turning little towards the left and keep doing this

quick question, in the test do you have to reverse the trailer around a corner or just a straight line????

thanks

straight line - you'd be so lucky!

you have to reverse from between 2 cones in a kind of S shape round another cone and back between 2 cones again!
