Bless him, as he's worked so hard this year for me I gave him the last couple of weeks off just to chill, have a holiday and get a little bit fat really!
Been back in work for past week and a half or so now, not lost a whole lot of fitness as it was only a couple of weeks off holiday.
Anyway, I jumped him again today and he was fabulous bless him. We knocked two rails down, however, if you remember my post last year when I got him for advice on how to get a horse snappy and more careful over poles [ie, had tried a lot of things and nothing really seemed to be working a huge amount! And even trot poles or 1ft cross poles were treated as a game of football lol.]
Anyway, 85% of the time now he's so much more careful and FINALLY figured out how to hold him and set him up into a fence more, rather than just 'Aaaaah cowabunga *crash bang wallop*' LOL. Anyway.
His flatwork wasn't great today, So sorry about that. He was rather lazy and a bit resistant and not really working through his back but was just an 'off' day forflatwork really! He sparked up once we cracked on with jumping.
Anyway. Just a few vids and pics from today
