Hi all, First of all sorry about the lack of reports/pictures, I'm currently in the midst of my AS level exams.
B pony has been really worrying me this week, obviously because I am doing my exams her owner has been doing her. Now that's fine, I popped up on thurs to see her and was greeted by a happy healty B trotted up to me in the field and was just generally happy.
On Friday evening I got a call from another livery at the yard saying that B was rocking backwards in the feild and didn't come over when they shouted her, cue frantic phonecall to owner who checked on her. She said all of her hooves felt fine heat wise and that there was no digital pulse but we decided to stable her overnight for the weekend.
Then on Saturaday evening I got another phonecall saying that they had gone in to check on B as she hadn't had her head over the door like normal and found her cast in her stable, luckily there were quite a few people who with lunge lines managed to get her up, apparently she was shaking and sweated up. So I call owner who rushes up again and this time finds B sweated up and biting at her tummy. Never in my life have I had a more scary phonecall, I was visiting family and was a good 60miles from yard out in the middle of the countryside unable to get back. Owner called vet who came up and concluded she had mild impaction colic, he gave her something down a tube in her belly and her lovely owner sat with her until early hours. Apparently she was back to her normal bright self by 2am and wanted to know where her food was.
Bit of a pointless post really but just wanted to share
