Babies growing for Welsh X

Has anyone on here had an experience where their horse has hugely exceeded the height of both mum and dad?

When did your baby do most of its growing?

looking at a Welsh colt that is almost a year and standing at 13.3hh.

It does happen. Often there are taller horses further back in the pedigree.
