Use babies nappies for polticing horses feet they are a great deal cheaper than animalintex and the fit round the foot and stay on

I'd still rather use animalintex - it has stuff in it which creates a drawing action, to draw out any pus. I very much doubt if babies' nappies have boric acid in them!

I've used nappies to hold the animalintex poultice in place. I've found that they don't do anything on their own...

I've done the same as Fairhill on occasions.

snap and then too hold nappy in place, carpet tape to make a waterproof padded boot

Breast pads are also make good dressings for awkward areas such as hocks, heels etc.

sorry I did mean use animalintex on the wound then cover in babies nappy its surprising what you can use in an emergency
