and today- about 4 weeks into being on a field track, it has done wonders for toning him up:

what are your thoughts? CC is welcome, I am biased so would like objective views:D

Aren't his facial markings weird? Even more so that they are symmetrical. Looks like he is permanently happy :).

I like him :)

Sorry, no cc from me, I'm useless at it!

Thank you.

Yes, it always reminds me of a clown, or someone who puts their fingers in the corners of their mouth and pulls it into a smile.

He is one hell of a clown :D

Hi, I think he looks a real sweetie, perhaps a bit light, weight wise 3 months ago but much better now. I think he'll make a really nice type.

aww than you, yes he was fairly scrawny then, he was just coming out of a proper growth spurt. I think that being on this track thingy that I put him and eb's on has done him the world of good.

He creates a nice overall picture and I think he's as cute as a button. I'd love mine to be on a track system.

thank you, he has only just started to look in anyway decent, before that he always looked like a cut and shut, see-saw project with a head twice the size that it should be! He has just started to be less drastic in his growing (although that may change again!) and grow into his head. Despite liking the look of him as a foal, I have been playing a waiting game to see him 'a bit more in context'

he looks fine, but he is only 2 and still growing and wont stop growing and filling out til he is 6/7 yrs. as he is on a track system i hope he gets a bucket of something every day to fill his growing needs. and i am not someone who feeds/force grows youngstock, but i wouldnt put a 2 yr old on a track system either.

Curious, why not? A track system has the horses steadily moving about as they graze, which surely would be beneficial at any age? It doesn't look like a starvation patch, just paddock paradise style grazing.

I like his looks, he's sort of growing into the right shape and size for his head isn't he? :-))

Nicely equal markings on both sides. Looks like he will be nicely substantial. Shoulder looks quite upright so may be a choppier stride than some cons. Looks about right weight wise.

He looks well and looks like he will be a nice sort. Can I be nosey and ask what hes done to himself on the third pic down, can see blood on his hind leg and im sure can see it on his man bits.

If you take a look at the picture again, it says "gelding day" hence he looks half asleep and a bit icky there.

My thoughts exactly, I see nothing wrong with promoting gentle exercise, continuous movement, I believe it benefits any horse, there is nothing in this environment that will put a strain on bens joints but it will promote muscle development which will benefit the joints when time comes for him to enter work.

He has plenty of grazing, but he has to look for it, this keeps him more active mentally and physically. He also is allowed into the middle paddock which has ample grass for an hour or so a day when I am there and when the weather is really really wet, he will spend the day in there. He also has alfa oil and baileys outshine balancer. Plus a full spectrum mineral supplement lick. I don't think any of the above will hurt him :)

oh, and thank you: yes his body slowly seems to be catching up with his head LOL!
