Just in case you were wondering, My baby has just started showjumping and keeps having one fence down - not anaged a clear round - my friend said stop jumping etc.
You all said keep going and think about bigger fences xc etc.
SO - although were having a break from competition for 4 weeks (we only compete fortnightly anyway) we are doing lots m,ore at home and out riding.
Today i was doing a little SJ schooling and over the first fence she kept rolling the top pole off and jumping in stages etc.
So i put it up to 80/90 cm and introduced a spread
NO poles down, much nicer bascule, and better approach.
you were all right she needs a bit more to think about as she seems to find jumping enjoyable but will look at the sheep and knock fences down. with biggger fences she has to use her brain to clear them hurrah
(i will have to brake the news to my friend who dose't think i should be going over 2ft 3" with her only being 4 (she is 5 in April!)
anyway a big thank you to you all
