Don't know, technically the same I suppose but baby oil is perfumed so could cause reaction?

Probably, but PO would be cheaper, plus isn't perfumed.

It would work, but baby oil is far more expensive - I get mine from heavy horse supplies - even with postage still cheaper than most places and much cheaper than baby oil - 25 litres of oil and 10 kilos of sulphur, with postage cost me £80 last year - but I do get through a lot with my two hairy beasts.
