I bought some sunblock for my pony's muzzle.
Should this stuff be okay?

Use the barrier hygiene...think that's what it's called....specifically made for horses and much more effective in my opinion. :-)

use bog standard factor 50 on ours.

well it was ice cream scented once because that was the only high factor boots had in october (liver issues).

Yes - it will be fine. Personally I avoid the very cheap ones as the protection factor is often very different from what it says on the bottle. But other than that any factor 50 - not necessarily baby formula - is fine. Anything with "horse" in the title will often be significantly more expensive than it needs to be! Actually so are many things which say "baby". Stick to a reasonable known brand if you have something really prone to burn. (WHICH tests are a good indicator). Otherwise - the cheaper the better!

This tube was only £3 from a major supermarket chain. I didn't want to go over the top, just in case it was a waste of money.

Patch test first, before putting it all over the muzzle etc. - one of ours is allergic to suncream!

I use something called Filtabac cream( can buy from Amaz*n) and it is brilliant stuff, can use for minor cuts as well , it is antibacterial sunblock cream, you only need a bit and it does not wash off with rain
