Knowing how fresh he can be, and having been out the loop for nearly 4 months i was expecting nothing but sass, however he kept a lid on it preeeeeeetty well!!!!

N38 he did a pretty cute test, first canter transition was behind my aid, first medium trot rather flat and he did his standard brittle to the point of being 484775665748 beat walk (but at least it was mostly recognisable as walk lol!

66.6% and 6th/12 so tantalising close to regionals points but for our first one back, really pleased....i actually rode it and he stepped up the plate and stayed rideable :)

E40 (first elem) next and he threw in a whopping spook before the bell (at a fallen letter that had been there alllllll day.....!) so the first half was pure car crash-tight trot, fell in to canter, spooked and fell out the arena in counter canter, no medium canter at all not even if you squinted.....BUT WE WALKED NICELY!!! and got a 7! and after that it all flowed on much better and we managed to produce a 63.55% :) chuffed really as he chilled, came back to me and finished up much more relaxed.

Really looking forward to N38 and E53 in a couple of weeks now, and then he's off to the NEXGEN young horse/pony qualifier @ Somerford-will be making up numbers i suspect but we love a big show :) CS2.jpgCS3.jpg

He is gorgeous even if a bit cheeky at times! His frame has developed so nicely, he seems strong enough to keep his nose out now. I'm working on the same challenge with my loan horse (he's a full three hands taller though...) so have been following your progress closely! Good luck in a couple of weeks and at the NEXGEN comp.

awww thank you :)

yes i am now getting the stronger, more consistent frame in the warm up we just occasionally still dip BTV in the trot in the test, but it will come with time.

really looking forward to the NEXGEN show, there should be lovely pics and top quality chips on offer lol!
