Are there any other suitable yards near where you are that you could look around?
If not, I would say move to this new one anyway. I have been following how unhappy you are at the present yard, and having just left a yard that made me want to give up my horse 2 weeks ago it was that bad, I know how bad it can be.

The other yard sounds so awful that I think I could live with the through traffic. Why not talk ot toher liveries and see if it is a problem for them? As for the rules being strict, in my experience that shows the YO is keen to run a good yard to a high standard. What kind of rules are they setting?

Hi. I see your dilemma. If that were me, I would move your horse for now. Get yourself settled and calmed down a bit. In the mean time, keep looking. Put your name down for a place at other yards that you do like. That way it will give you breathing space. I wouldnt worry about the lorries, good for them to see such things. And the walk to the muck heap, well your legs will be extra trim. Look on th bright side. Is it any worse or better than where you are at the moment. Let us know what you decide.

What are the rules? cant help unless we know the issues. But if its "dont leave a horse on its own" - i really cannot see an issue - if its "dont put litter ie charlie band" on the muck heap - cant see a problem. If its "dont come on the yard before X o clock" unless agrred i cant see an issue

Oh dear sorry to hear this sweet, I would also move there temp if needed be at least your away from where you are now...as said before it gives you extra time and freedom to re-look...
where abouts are you?? Doubt I'll be able to help...shame as berkshire there are hundreds of yards and mine has stables empty now...and it's a really sweet yard.

If it helps you decide, there is a nice little yard near where I keep my horse, with a recycling (ie. tip) plant immediately next door. The noise from the lorries and public traffic there all day is VERY noticeable, and in the summer the flies are terrible.
