Got back from my birthday break in the Peak District on Monday! Had a really lovely weekend! There were two quarter horses in the field right behind the cottage! So I was in the garden a lot!!
Had a bit of a sad experience though. Went to a little farm place, and have ended up reporting it to the RSPCA! Never seen anything like it, chickens living 8 to a small pen! Pigs with no water or shelter laying in the blazing sun! Then I got to the ponies and donkeys, I was nearly in tears!!! I could see every single rib on the little shetties, and feel every single vertabrae! They looked like they were full of worms. Their back ends were so so skinny! It was awful. The donkeys looked like they had never been groomed. They all just looked so so unhappy! It was boiling hot and there was no water and a tiny little shelter that wouldn't have fit one shettie in nevermind two shetties and 2 donkeys! One of the shetties had its head constantly to the floor looking for food, it was awful. I burst into tears on the phone to the RSPCA (what a wimp!!) but its really got to me! Worse thing was, we had to pay!!!! Not a lot but still!
Anyway an inspector is being sent out so we will have to wait and see what happens!!
