Back in England- Short final report.

After 9th in the dressage had the obstacles, with cones in. Pip was abit wound up warming up, by a shettie whizzing, not sure if it was the rattle carriage that just upset him or the vision of Ajay going fast.
He was a superstar in the ring, which had a good surface as it was hot before. About 28*. He was perfect and got his first ever clear in cones, we didn't get any canter penalties and was drivable in the obstacles. We were 0.4 seconds slow, so 0.02 time pens.We were then in 3rd for this part, but a few more people beat me and I ended up 6th, best British!
Amazingly, some how I was 4th overnight with just cones to go. Pip was very laid back but superbly behaved. We had 2 down, due to me being a numpty, and came 14th in cones. Although 2 is better than our average

and we were 9 seconds within time.

I came 5th overall, 0.05 pens below 4th and very close to bronze, but I'm not complaining as I didnt expect to be placed atall, what happened happened and at this level its bound to be close. Not bad considering 2 and a half weeks ago we wernt going and I was never planning on taking pip as I didnt think I could stop him cantering.

The HHO news doesnt mention me, but mentions the team

. Individuals/ reserves clearly don't count.
