Hello! Has anyone had a similar terrible experience?

I was looking for a lovely new saddle & was really excited about the thought of a beautiful new saddle, rather than my really worn (but comfy) one!

I was recommended a well know company (if you add barns and by together you maybe able to guess who!).

Over 18 months they fitted a number of saddles, which every time I had to get the back specialist out cause my poor horse was in all sorts of pain! My poor neddy had months out of work and cost me a fortune to put right

They have treated me terrible. While I was having fitting problems they would blank my calls for weeks when I would try and ask them for support, no end of appointments they would not turn up and leave me waiting. In the end they just cut me off (after 18 months) and left me high and dry! of course they refuse to contribute to the vet/back specialist bills.

Has anyone ever taken a situation like this to court to reclaim costs?

Sorry to hear you're having problems. Why did you keep this going for 18 months though? My mother's had a Barnsby and I hated it. It came with him but it blatantly didn't fit him. I'm not saying it was fitted by them and I have had no dealings with their fitters. She bought a brand new Albion for him in the end (fitted by Pointings near Bath) which I also didn't like but she did. At least it fitted.

I would suggest your horse isn't suited to this make and try a variety. I love my GFS and my Ideal. Food for thought?

I went to the Master Saddlers and they were really helpful. They tried to arbitrate the situation, however they said that they would not cooperate. They have put the complaint on their records and advised I take legal action, arr man!!
