back legs

my 4 year old recently got his back hooves shod for and has been a bit strange, on the day after he got shod he was limping a bit on his back left foot and couldn't walk backwards on it, gave him a quick lunge to get someone's opinion but by the end it was fine, presumed he was just getting used to it. al through the next week his legs had been clicking and now today (a week later) he has started limping on his back right foot. all through this he wont pick up his feet nicely, been reluctant then shooting them up so they are close to his chest and wont hold them nicely in the middle. whats wrong and is there anything i can do?

I would get the farrier back if he was fine before that.. could be nail bind. The shoe will need taking off and resetting. Is there any heat in the foot?

Thanks so much and yeah I did notice a bit of heat in sole and frog, will get farriers take on it asap ?
