Well I'm finally riding my boy again after he had KS surgery in Dec and my god is he a sharp monster, he is very nervy and clearly has mental baggage but I feel with alot of patience he will become the star I've always known was in there.
We are still just walking and trotting and I'm going to spend at least six month just hacking and getting him strong, this will help with my confidence too as I still remember how much being bucked off hurts!!
He seems so much more relaxed in himself when I'm dealing with him on the ground and is one funny bright boy.
I hacked out on my own today and he was a star but thought two people walking towards us were clearly very odd so I asked them to just talk to him and they were fantastic and said what a brave boy he was and I swear he understood and wandered off afterwards very calmly.
I've found out his brothers and sisters are doing marvels and his eldest brother was eigth at Brightling yeterday in his first intro so I've had a quiet chat that we will have some distinct catching up to do.
So now I've waffled on I shall go and give him his tea, keep your fingers crossed that he improves each day.
