7 months post injury and 4 months post full diagnosis (medial branch injury in left hind) I got back on! I’m 6 weeks later than vet suggested was ok due to saddle needing fitting and a need to sort out what clearly looked like ulcers (v grumpy to be tacked). I’m also transitioning feet to barefoot so a lot going on. She’s been an angel, tacking grumpiness gone, stands like a rock to be mounted and all fine with leg on, so last 5 minutes of our daily walk we found a wall and I hopped on and took her home. It felt so good to get back in the saddle with her - I’ve missed it a lot. Long way to go - 3 months of hacking only but all positive so far.
