Can anyone recommend a back person willing to travel to the East London/Essex area? The only one I have heard of you need a vets recommendation to see and I don't want the cost of a call out for that as well!

Also - any saddle fitters you can recommend on personal experience.

Want to do the whole lot in one fell swoop!

Thanks x

If the horse is insured & you think there is a problem then you are best to get the vet- they will (or may) recommend physio which the insurance should pay for. If there is an issue and you need to get the vet and you have been having treatment not advised by a vet then the insurance will not pay out if the vet thinks it has been aggrivated by treatment. But you can get a physio and see what their thoughts are and if it may need loads of treatment... I wasnt really aware of all of that until it happened to me. Sorry dont know anyone in your area though!! Good luck

I use a good McTimoney Chiropractor. She lives in Diss Suffolk, but travels round the east & comes out to me in Cambridgeshire. She does need a vets ok, but if it is just a general check up you want & not a specific problem i just phoned my vet & expalined to him & he said ok over the phone - no cost involved. I can let you have her number if you want to pm me. As for good saddler, i use Martin Wilkinson at St Albans, again he travels all over & is a master saddler. Advertises in back of H&H for details.

Hope this helps

You could try Johnathan Cohen he's been to our yard a few times and people have had really good reports about him, or you could put a post on here asking if anyone else has used him to see what others say. Look on www.equinost.com. Most people round here use Martin Wilkinsons saddlers at London Colney, don't know how wide area they cover but have always done a good job for me and others at the stables.
