Back problem

My mare has just begun to show signs of discomfort when ridden, she starts throwing her head down and shaking it after half an hour , her withers twitch and she feels all knotted up ,her hind quaters occasionally drop aswell , twice i have dismounted this week and walked home, friends riding behind say her back muscles behind the saddle twitch. I have had her teeth checked and her saddle is fitted by a master saddler. the vet is coming tomorrow and i have the back lady coming in April. she is fine on the lunge .
Has anyone else come across anything like this ?

Try riding bareback to see if it still happens. If not, you have a saddle problem! The horse may well have changed shape since the saddle was fitted. If it still happens then I'd get the vet out before you ride her again. In all honesty it sounds like your horse is a saint not to have dumped you on the floor already as it sounds like she is in a LOT of pain.

Yes she probably is a saint , saddle was new in dec and was re checked last monday, vet is coming tomorrow ,will post what the outcome is ,
