Back Protectors?

A friend has asked me to ride her sane horse round with her on a farm ride/ little x country next week whilst she rides her insane baby... (Well not insane but very 'flighty' talented event horse -- no I was right in the first place - insane). But I need a back protector as I've not jumped/ ridden across country in years. I am going to need a back protector anyway when I get my new pony (when I find him) but am unsure of the current standards and which is BEST.

ANy advice?

I have a rodney powell and mum has a racesafe.

I find the RP perfectly comfortable most of the time but I have borrowed the racesafe for hunting and think it is better for all day jobs
