Mine is a tipperary, but the Racesafe 2000 is more or less the same type of thing, as is the cobra, all have independent panels which move. I'm probably the odd one out because I detest the Rodney Powell ones, they are so uncomfortable you may as well ride in an iron lung!
My sister has an airowear which I have tried and think is really comfy. I have her hand-me-down Jack Ellis which I hate. wish I had the money to by a new one.
Re: the one like a cage, that is the one made by Woofwear - called the exo protector. Made to protect the rider from severe impacts/large quantities of weight landing on the rider (I believe). I was trying to get one, but they are having problems making the shell in some of the medium-large sizes so I had no luck.
I use a Charles Owen protector - I broke my back 18 months ago so it is a must for me. I am happy with it -
I currently have a RaceSafe one and absoloutely love it, so comfy and easy to move in as its the one with all the different little sections, i know you can also get the shoulder pads to match aswell!
Racesafe 2000 by far the most comfy you dont feel restricted at all cpmared to the others. Have tried just Togs and Cobra although just togs was the worst for not being comfy in my opinion
