Hi farrier is coming next week and I'm hoping to take my horses front shoes off not this shoeing but the next (already has backs off).
Should I ask the farrier to not touch the sole and the frogs on the fronts (he never touches the backs) so they will be thicker/ more calloused by the time the shoes come off in 8 weeks.
I was hoping if they were thicker it may mean they are less sensitive when shoes are off, or am I talking nonsense?
Thanks
