I have decided that my jumping needs a lot of work. I need to improve virtually everything about it.
I need to learn to fold again and keep with the movement and stop standing in my stirrups and hanging onto the reins.

I have decided the best way to tackle this is to go right back to basics and have started doing pole work and going onto jumping position over the poles and also letting go of my reins.
I need some help with the excerices i can do on the horse (off the horse i do loads of squats and can fold really easily!).
I need to work on controlling horse with legs only as well as when i first tried without reins this morning i ended up going diagnally down the line of poles and missed the last one completely!!
I'm thinking grids would help.
any ideas appreciated?

Possibly look into some lessons?

:nods: and get a friend on the ground to watch you and video you so you can see what you need to work on

yeah - not too far from burford - any ideas?

I am going to have lessons - I was just asking for some ideas that i can work on in the meantime as in - excercises to help me fold e.g when I was younger we jumped without hands or stirrups but I cant remember exactly what and what that achieved other than maybe balance which is one thing i need to work on.

does anyone know of any excercises that may assist?
