2 months ago my nightmare happened. Dave spooked as I was was getting on & I landed on his croup & he reminded me that you're not supposed to sit there by resoundingly bucking me off. I've really lost my nerve since then.
We're getting back to normal.

He's gorgeous. You'll get there with him - these things are an unfortunate part of life with horses. They have opinions and you can't ignore the opinion when it comes from something weighing several hundred kilos. I'm very glad you two seem to be going places though, your persistence as a partnership is really inspirational :)?

He’s gorgeous. My youngster shares a field with an Exmoor. She is very sweet but is probably the most sensitive and sharp horse I’ve ever come across! A very experienced show judge friend of mine says they all tend to be like that! Her owner said I could ride her to help out with her weight. So far I have only summoned up courage for 3 x 10 min solo hacks in walk! You have my admiration for your progress and perseverance.

"Dear HHO collective, The other month I really lost my nerve. I was being mounted when I saw a monster in the hedge. I was keeping us both safe from said monster when mum attacked me and whooped me on the bum. My bum was trapped, it was awful, I had to struggle to free it. Mum then attacked the ground.

It has taken me weeks to feel happy that mum did this as a one off. I am OK now, but now have more of an eye on mum than the monsters in the hedge!" Dave. X

Haha! Yes, thank you Dave for making sure the monsters didn't get us, and I'm sorry for sitting on your bum.

Well done, my Welsh d x Highland bucked me off on concrete as I was getting on a few years ago and it's taken me till now to get on her anywhere but in the school. So I totally understand your loss of nerve and am really proud of you cracking on
